Usage of instructions:first, you'll need to establish what color is normal for your unique cat. this will be your baseline for all future color comparisons. how to use alert: establishing your baseline: 1. start with a clean box. fill with 2 to 3 inches of alert. 2. within 2 hours of use, compare litter crystals to color guide. 3. keep observing the color, since it can vary naturally throughout the day, particularly 1 to 2 hours after eating. after 5 days, determine the most common color within the normal range. this is your baseline. note: if the color remains outside of the normal range, call your veterinarian. continuing use: 1. scoop solids daily to ensure optimal absorbency.
