Suman is Philippines' version of rice cake. Suman is also known as "Budbud" in the visayan languages that dominate the central half of the country.

Freshly made. The name kakanin is derived from two Tagalog words: "Kain" (to eat) and "Kanin" (rice). It's an umbrella term for sweets made of glutinous rice and coconut milk, two ingredients that tropical countries like Philippines have in abundance.

All-time favorites. The term merienda came from the Spanish merendar, which means "To eat snack." it is usually eaten to relieve hunger when it is not yet lunchtime or dinnertime.
