Vicks DayQuil SEVERE Cold & Flu is an over-the-counter medication formulated to provide relief from various cold and flu symptoms. It is designed to alleviate coughing, stuffy nose, minor body aches, chest congestion, sinus congestion, sinus pressure, sore throat, headache, and fever with a non-drowsy formula suitable for daytime use. The active ingredients include acetaminophen for pain and fever reduction, dextromethorphan HBr as a cough suppressant, guaifenesin as an expectorant to thin and loosen mucus, and phenylephrine HCI as a nasal decongestant. It is recommended for adults and children 12 years and older, with a dosage of 30 mL every 4 hours, not to exceed 4 doses within 24 hours.
